A few weeks ago I got in this great and impressive book - I'd call it a thome, but that's a word with negative implications and this book is all positive.  It is Dave Gittin's Don & Derek Rickman: The Metisse Story, and its available from Metisse Motorcycles Limited in England, or at a considerable savings in the USA (due to postage & international exchange rates) from me here at Motorsport - here's the direct link to the book at the Motorsport online store 

Its not inexpensive at $105 (including Priority Mail delivery within the USA), but if you were ever to drop a c-note on a book, this is the one.

The Metisse Story covers the complete history of the beautiful and competitive Rickman marque as developed by racing brothers Don & Derek Rickman, carrying the story further into this century and new ownership.

With over 300 photos, both in b&2 and colour, its an oversized treat for the eyes.   Gittins wrote the first Rickman Story some 15 years ago, and that book quickly sold out and is heavily sought after.  This version has been a long time coming, and promises to become an even bigger collector's item.  Only a limited quantity were printed, so now's your best chance to grab this fantastic piece of history.
